By far one of my favorite punk bands, Motion City Soundtrack did not disappoint with the release of their new album My Dinosaur Life after a three year break since Even If It Kills Me. This album brings out the best of what I like about Motion City quirky lyrics, catchy tunes, and a couple of deep songs. My favorite songs on the album are "Stand to Close" and "Delirium". Though still early in the year this album has already my top 15 list of 2010.

I don't think I would want to listen to this more than once, but the parody had me laughing pretty hard so it was worth a look-see. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI thought it had a catchy tune and beat but is it really punk rock? I alway thought punk rock was wilder. I am one of those people that doesn't get hooked on a song until it has been out for awhile. I don't know why I'm like that but I kinda liked this one.
ReplyDeleteAnymore the lines between what's punk or pop or whathaveyou are blurred. I just know I like this. I'm heading over to to the stream to listen to your favorites. Thanks for the Introduction :)
ReplyDeleteAs KAckroyd says the distinction between genres are very fine and mixed together. Just for rock there are almost 200 different sub-genres. Genres these days a less important to bands other than a way to organize themselves.
ReplyDeleteAnd Karen nothing weird about having to hear a song a few times before liking it. I will listen to albums at least 4-5 times before I make a judgment on it. Most songs have so much in them that you have to listen to it more than once.
